A Primer for Electricity Transmission

A Primer for Electricity Transmission from the National Council on Electricity Policy.
Here's how electricity flows from the power plant to the end user. Energy is created at the main power plant that then goes to a substation. At the substation it travels along high power lines (usually best when going long distances) to another holding station. The holding station moves it to your home for use for your electrical needs.
